Case Study #1 – SAGD

A SAGD producer had outgrown their stand-alone computerized maintenance management system. Clearpass helped lead a team of employees and vendors in the implementation of Maximo v7.5 for Oil & Gas. Not only did Clearpass provide project management and functional expertise, we also provided overall business advice to ensure that the implementation provided value in the short term and positioned the company for long-term success.

Case Study #2 – Construction

A large heavy construction company completed the financial implementation of an ERP application but had not fully activated the equipment maintenance functionality. The result was that the company’s fleet and equipment departments could not effectively process corrective and preventative maintenance work orders, nor could they report on equipment costs.

Clearpass was engaged to perform an assessment and recommend an action plan. The assessment was completed in four weeks and then, using the recommended action plan, Clearpass implemented the equipment maintenance functionality including preventative maintenance schedules, work orders and integrated purchase orders. The client can now effectively use the equipment maintenance module to generate preventative maintenance schedules, process corrective work orders, capture work history and report equipment costs in order to improve management of the equipment and fleet assets.

Case Study #3 – Oil and Gas

A mid-sized Canadian oil and gas producer engaged Clearpass to conduct an assessment of the organization’s physical asset management practices. The client requested a holistic view of the organization’s approach to maintaining its physical assets. Utilizing the Clearpass standardized assessment methodology and referencing widely accepted industry “best practices”, Clearpass consultants were able to identify numerous strengths and opportunities for improvement in the organizations current asset management.

Subsequent to the assessment, Clearpass was engaged to assist the organization in selecting an Enterprise Asset Management solution to aid in the management of the physical asset inventory as well as the maintenance program necessary for the reliable operation of the assets. Once again Clearpass consultants utilized a standardized evaluation and selection process to aid the client in determining the appropriate tool for their business requirements.
